Jeremiah "The Beast" Dunlap, SUDP
Chief Executive Officer
Jeremiah was born and raised in Tacoma Washington and is now the CEO and Clinical Director at Rainier Recovery Centers, LLC. He is a father, Avid Seattle Seahawks fan and has built strong roots in the Recovery Community in the Pacific Northwest. Jeremiah entered the field of addiction recovery in 2013 and truly believes in a holistic approach to addiction recovery. Jeremiah’s approach to counseling is motivation and strength based. Jeremiah uses Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy techniques to assist his clients in overcoming life’s barriers and accomplishing their personal goals. After overcoming a long strenuous battle with addiction, he found a passion for helping others and entered the field as a counselor. He has an extensive background in Substance Use Disorder treatment, Leadership, Program Management , Clinical Supervision and Client Care. He has focused his education on Human Services and Psychology and is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, SMART Recovery Facilitation. Moral Reconation Therapy, ADIS, ACES, T4C and Clinical Supervision. He has experience as a Therapist, Jail Re-entry Program Director, Family Liason, Clinical Director, Operations Director, Quality Assurance Manager, Human Resources Manager and Housing Program Director. Jeremiah believes that no matter how rough a person’s situation is, there is always hope for personal growth and overcoming life’s obstacles. He believes motivation, dedication and support are the keys to successfully living a life of recovery.

Tarae" The Boss" Blackmon SUDP, AAC

Tarae has been working in the human services field since 2016. She is very passionate about helping others reach their fullest potential! Since getting clean in 2014 and restoring her life she’s made it her mission to make a positive impact in others lives every day. She is very involved in her recovery, is a mom, wife, and also a fitness instructor! She uses strength based counseling, motivational interviewing, trauma informed care, and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to help clients internalize recovery and achieve their goals. She has extensive experience working with people impacted by trauma, domestic violence, substance use, the criminal justice system, and homelessness. She believes it’s never too late for someone to change their life, they just have to be willing to do the work!
Erika " Minnie Mouse" St. Peter, LMHC

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have been in the field for the past 10 years. I have done most of my work on community mental health and in 2018 I started my own private practice. My main goal is to provide a safe person-centered approach as well being accepting and open to people of all walks of life. We all have a story to tell whether good or bad and I feel truly privileged to be able to hear and listen to those stories. I also provide EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for those who have experienced trauma. I am also bilingual in Spanish and English. When I am not a therapist I spend time with my husband and my 2 small dogs. I also love rooting for the Seahawks, Sounders, Mariners, Kraken, and the Seattle Reign.
Rebekah"The Preacher " Cantrell

Rebekah is a recovery advocate through and through. She believes there is hope for even what others might consider, hopeless. She started her recovery journey Mothers Day of 2019. Rebekah is a peer at heart and is motivated by helping every single for person get the resources , treatment and support they need to enter recovery and see long term recovery success. She is passionate about community resource collaboration, creating and building relationships and demolishing stigma around addiction and addiction treatment. Rebekah is compassionate, caring, kind and on a mission to spread the gospel of Rainier Recovery. Rebekah has over 5 years experience in marketing and 2 in outreach. Serving her community to the fullest both professionally and personally, Rebekah is a force to be reckoned with for the recovery field.
Stephanie " Sboogz " Barbo, CPC, SUDPT

Stephanie is the Director of Operations and a Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee for Rainier Recovery. She has experience working with others and is extremely passionate about helping people while in recovery. She is an open book and dedicated young professional .
Alyssa "The Brat" Keane, SUDPT,CPC
Director of Innovation & Grants
Alyssa is a Certified Peer Counselor. and SUDP-T. She is studying Psychology and Human Services at Tacoma Community College. Prior to joining us Alyssa worked at an Inpatient level and as a Court Liaison. She has an extensive knowledge and professional experience in reentry and housing case management, which led her to directing the programs we offer at Rainier Recovery. Her own recovery has shown her the importance of a strong support network and given her a passion in helping and uplifting others along their journey. When she's not working you can find her at the finish line to the local Half Marathon, dancing, plunging into an ice bath, or hanging out at the dog park with her kids and her Mexican street dog rescues.
Sherilyn" Princess" Finlayson SUDPT, CPC,
Director of Court Services
Sherilyn comes from a background of her own lived experience, from the depths of addiction, mental health diagnoses, homelessness, criminal justice involvement, and her own journey of recovery. She is passionate about walking this journey with you, because she truly understands the value in finding and living in recovery. She is a strong advocate for you, and wants to help re-connect you with your life, and your purpose with her ability to utilize resources to break barriers in your life. Sherilyn’s motto is “Let me hold hope for you, until you can carry it for yourself”. She is a certified peer counselor with an emphasis on the intersection of law and behavioral health and a CARR certified recovery coach. Sherilyn is currently studying Forensic Psychology at Grand Canyon University and proudly holds an unweighted 4.0 GPA. Sherilyn is trained in the National Association of Drug Court Professionals, Motivational Interviewing, Case management, Therapeutic Courts, group facilitation and treatment planning or individual service plans. Sherilyn comes with a non-clinical, person-centered and trauma informed care approach to truly meet you where you are and get you where you need to be.
Brittany "Straight Shooter" Ludington, CPC, AAC

Brittany found recovery on May 9th, 2021, and spent 16 years of her life in active addiction. She’s a Certified Peer Counselor and has been working in the behavioral health addiction field for almost 3 years. She started her journey working at an inpatient facility then transitioned to a Peer Outreach role at a MAT clinic prior to starting her new role here at Rainier Recovery. She has a strong background in understanding the struggles and complexity of addiction as well as living a fulfilled and enriched life in recovery. She has experience in legal processes and proceedings, medicated assisted treatment, and inpatient treatment protocols. As a peer she loves meeting people where they’re at, no matter where that is. She tries to model hope,resiliency, and recovery while helping people find freedom from active addiction. Brittany’s passions include re-entry, women with children, and harm reduction. Outside of work she is a mom to a beautiful little girl and loves all things music, coffee, and plants.

Jennifer "J-LO" Richards, SUDPT

Jennifer is a SUDPT working at Rainier Recovery as an SUD Counselor. Her education includes earning her associates in legal studies at Post University and her certificate of completion in Substance use disorder at Tacoma Community College. Jennifer is currently working towards her bachelors of science in behavioral health with an emphasis in substance use disorder from Grand Canyon University. Jennifer has embraced living in recovery after living many years in active addiction and has dedicated her time helping addicts embrace their own journey of recovery. Jennifer believes in giving back and helping others in need. Jennifer lives with her emotional support animal Booger and enjoys spending quality time with her family and children.

Allen has an AA in Psychology and is preparing to start on his BA in psychology. He is a Certified Behavior Technician, has been a Certified Nursing Assistant, and has obtained the Substance Use Dependency Professional trainee License. Variety creates valuable experience that can help a person adapt to all situations. Most of his life has been about serving others and finding a way to use his talents in the best way possible. Like many of the people who walk through our doors, life hasn’t always been easy but he believes challenges are meant to help a person decide how much they want to change. Results are everything, they are the measuring stick of determination and willpower. “Progress not perfection.”

Amanda is a Medical Assistant at Rainier Recovery. She started down the medical path 6 years ago because of her mom. Her mom had started showing signs of dementia at 62, her family was told it was brought on by her drinking. Amanda was taking care of her for 3 years before she went to school to become a Medical Assistant and she graduated 8/25/2023. She has 3 incredible boys, 2 who joined the army right after high school. She enjoys drawing, painting, hiking, hanging out with family and absolutely loves Friday Karoke night.
Amanda "Odd Bird" Knutson, SUDPT
Lead FCS Housing & Employment Navigator
Amanda is the Lead FCS Housing Case Manager at Rainier Recovery. Amanda was born and raised in the Gig Harbor/Tacoma area andshe with her husband, two teen daughters, and their six fur-babies (two dogs and four cats) still live in the area today. After growing up in addiction and spending many years living in dependent alcohol addiction herself, she sought out help and has achieved several years of sobriety. She recently has returned to schoolto attain her Associates Degree in Health Services with a focus on Substance Use Disorder at Tacoma Community College and is training to become a SUDPT. She is also particularly interested in studying the correlation between childhoodTrauma and substance abuse and the effect on the developing brain and nervous system. When she is not working or studying, she enjoys spending time with her family, appreciating nature and working on her new(ish) home. She is enthusiastic anddetermined to help others experience how incredible recovery truly is.

Trent "OG" Gray, SUDP, LMHC
Mental Health Therapist
Using integrated best practice therapeutic approaches that include person-center, existential, dialectical behavior, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapeutic approaches, Trent works to assist clients develop new perspectives that encourage behavioral change whether mental health, addictions, trauma, or other co-occurring problems disrupting the individual’s emotional balance and personal well-being. Through the reciprocal alliance built on trust and unconditional regard, Trent works with clients to create an environment facilitating change based on the client’s personal strengths, goals, and objectives. Understanding how events past and present impact emotions and behaviors in the here and now, Trent assists clients in creating personal changes that bring renewed sense of purpose, meaning, and balance to their personal life and the world around them.
Kathryn "The Doc" List , SUDPT, LICSWA

Kathryn has a Bachelors of Social Work with a Minor in Social Welfare from Northwest Nazarene University (2003). I have a Masters of Social Work with an emphasis in Clinical and Management Social Work from Northwest Nazarene University (2010). I am currently in the process of completing a PhD in Social Work with emphasis in Clinical Social Work Expertise, Trauma, and Addiction Medicine with Capella University.
About Me: I am just a laid back hippy to be honest. I tend to not have shoes on if I can help it. I love to be in nature and being outside. I have run Marathons and Ultras. I love to hike. I practice kindness and gratitude in my life daily. I believe that all human life matters and has value. I enjoy listening to music, singing, and going to live shows. I worked through the entire pandemic and this time has proven to me that if we can come together with love and compassion the world would be a much better place. If you are thinking about coming to see me for therapy I want you to know that you are in good experienced hands. I am a very ethical provider who comes alongside her patients to assist or be a co-pilot. I am interested in successful long lasting positive outcomes for my patients and take my role seriously. Chelsey is a SUD counselor, a mother of 2 beautiful children and a huge animal lover. She grew up

In 2017 after fighting her own addiction and beating the statistics, Chelsey decided it was her calling in life to help others who may be struggling like she was. She believes that trauma is the gateway drug, that addiction stems from deep rooted trauma, and that it is not a character defect. Victoria's passion for helping others stems from her own life experiences. Additionally, she possesses over fifteen years of experience in the medical field, where she has provided hands-on care and performed administrative duties. Being an SUDPT has given her the opportunity to assist those in need and make a positive impact on their lives.

Leticia "Sky" Ballin, CPC

Leticia is a Certified Peer Counselor who is working toward her certification as an SUDP-T. She has a background in the recovery field through her time in an inpatient setting as well as her time as a mental health CPC. Leticia brings her own personal experience as a woman in recovery, which provides her the insight to relate to her clients on a deeper level. She uses her own personal experiences as well as her professional experience to help with Care Coordination to work with our clients awaiting an inpatient bed date, as well as to help our houseless clients through our FCS Housing Case Management program. Leticia is a driven women who strives to be trained in "all the things". When she is not working you can find her plunging into cold water, attending community sweats, hanging out with her friends and family, or remaining involved in the recovery community she has become passionate about.

Lacy is a Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee and pending AAC. Her lived experience feeds her passion to help others in recovery reach their goals and become the best versions of themselves. She has a bachelors in human resources management and a masters in management and leadership and is working on a second masters degree in addiction counseling. She is motivated to make a difference for those in recovery. She understands that recovery is a marathon, not a sprint, and she wants be there for you every step of the way.

Jeff Duncan is a dedicated husband, father, and advocate for those on the path to recovery. His journey is one of resilience, marked by overcoming addiction and navigating the complexities of the legal system. Since attaining sobriety in 2019, Jeff
has committed himself to helping others find their own path to healing. Educationally driven, Jeff holds a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Educational Administration, both from Arizona State University. His passion for learning also led him to pursue an Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts from Renton Technical College and a Chemical Dependency Certificate from Clover Park Technical College.
Jeffs lived experience with addiction and recovery has equipped him with a unique perspective on the challenges individuals face in rebuilding their lives. His journey through the legal system has provided him with insight into the intricacies of rehabilitation and the importance of second chances. As a husband and father of two, Jeff understands the significance of family support in the recovery process. He is deeply committed to fostering an environment of love, understanding, and encouragement for those undergoing similar struggles. Outside of his professional pursuits, Jeff finds solace and creativity in music and woodworking. These hobbies serve as outlets for self-expression and relaxation,
allowing him to recharge and stay grounded amidst lifes demands. Driven by a desire to give back, Jeff is actively involved in supporting individuals in
